Role Overview

Lift Kingsley is seeking an outstanding and ambitious leader to join its Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Principal (Inclusion). This is a high-impact leadership role focused on school improvement, SEND provision, and ensuring every child receives an excellent education every day.

As SENDCo, the Assistant Principal will provide strategic leadership for SEND across the school, ensuring provision is inclusive, effective, and compliant with statutory requirements. The role focuses on removing barriers to learning and securing strong outcomes for all learners.

Working closely with staff, families, external agencies, and the Resource Provision Lead, the role ensures students with additional needs can access a broad and ambitious curriculum. The post holder will also evaluate the impact of provision to drive continuous improvement.

Leadership Responsibilities

As Assistant Principal, the post holder will:

  • Play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the school
  • Lead on priority areas driving academic excellence
  • Strengthen teaching, learning, behaviour, culture, and wellbeing
  • Line manage teaching and support staff
  • Provide direction, challenge, and professional development
