Requirements of the Pharmacist

• GPHC Registration
• Previous experience within a UK based NHS Pharmacy setting
• NVQ or equivalent – Pharmacist qualification
• Strong knowledge of UK pharmacy legislation and NHS practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all clinical aspects of the pharmacy including dispensing, checking and clinical services
• Build strong relationships with customers, GP’s and healthcare professionals
• Lead the running of an effective and efficient pharmacy
• Coaches team members to improve performance
• Delivery of targets in line with Rx and service growth
• Offer expert healthcare advice to the local area
• Educate patients on how to use medicinal products
• Ensure correct stock levels for drugs and medicines
• Conduct regular reviews, audits and risk assessments to protect patient and public safety
• Ensure expert care and service is delivered at all times with an adaptable and proactive mindset
• Work in partnership with the healthcare team to deliver complete care solutions
• Set operational standards for a high-quality pharmacy environment
• Accountable for professional pharmacy legal and ethical decisions
• Support development, education and training of colleagues
• Deliver professional services individually and through the pharmacy team

All offers are conditional upon passing the GPhC registration exam.
