This Compliance Manager role sits within a team responsible for supporting Cambridge Internationalโ€™s strategic vision to be the worldโ€™s most trusted teaching, learning, and assessment community.

The role focuses on ensuring compliance with the Cambridge Handbook, maintaining fairness, integrity, security, and accessibility across global assessments.

About the Role

This position leads the Malpractice team and is responsible for managing investigations into suspected malpractice cases across registered schools worldwide.

The role ensures that all reports of suspected malpractice are handled promptly, fairly, and in line with established procedures, supporting accurate and justifiable outcomes.

Cambridge assessments operate globally, meaning cases may involve schools across multiple regions including Europe, Asia, and South America. The role also requires adaptability due to changing priorities influenced by global events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the malpractice team
  • Use data to manage workloads, capacity, and delivery
  • Risk assess reports of suspected malpractice and allocate cases appropriately
  • Conduct second reviews of team cases when required
  • Recruit and develop team members, ensuring the right skill mix
  • Standardise processes across the team for consistency in investigations
  • Adapt team priorities based on changing operational demands
  • Collaborate with Exam Security and Investigations Compliance Managers
  • Report malpractice data to senior stakeholders
  • Act as escalation point for complex cases
  • Provide training and guidance to Compliance Assistant Managers, Officers, and Administrators
  • Review and improve processes, procedures, and guidelines
  • Identify and manage operational risks
  • Participate in Stage One Appeals panels
  • Represent Cambridge at Stage Two Appeal meetings
  • Represent the Compliance team in internal and external forums
