About the Role

Lift Shafton is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Primary Teacher to join its dedicated team from September 2026.

While the role is ideally suited to a Key Stage 2 practitioner, Lift Shafton is also open to exceptional Key Stage 1 teachers. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

Who Lift Shafton Is Looking For

Lift Shafton is looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience of teaching within the primary phase (Key Stage 2 experience desirable, but not essential)
  • Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for all pupils
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment
  • Is committed to raising standards and improving outcomes for every child
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues

Lift Shafton is a small rural community school in Shafton village, easily reached from Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
